What started from the grassroots of a bunch of passionate entrepreneurs has quickly grown into something bigger.
Norrland, with its mountains, vast nature and yet proximity to the sea, has long been a part of Sweden that has attracted many creative and outdoor-loving people from all over the world. This in turn has contributed to the establishment of new industries in Norrland, including a strong entrepreneurial community.
As more entrepreneurs, digital nomads and returnees moved from the big cities to smaller towns in Norrland, it became clear that something was missing. A gathering place, to share ideas, network, do business and get inspiration and help to take their company to the next level.
In the winter of 2018/2019, these companies took a big step together for Sweden's entrepreneurs, together they formed a joint House Be which is now available in eight locations in Northern Sweden; Skellefteå, Umeå, Örnsköldsvik, Härnösand, Åre, Östersund, Sundsvall and Hudiksvall.
"Umeå is a very interesting city with many entrepreneurs. We hope to become a platform for the development of start-ups and people."

The university city where words like entrepreneurial spirit and innovation are familiar to many. Umeå has an incredible business drive and a pulse that makes the city interesting in many ways. They are far ahead on the tech scene, have magically beautiful nature around the corner and have a population increase that is actually the highest in the country, not bad! Then they cycle everywhere too and it fits well into House Be's Work-Play-Be spirit!
